Yes, Yes, Oh Yay

I was drunk and the camera was on the wrong setting. Next time, I should be real good at this.

This is a shitty shot of Imaad Wasif, Yeah Yeah Yeahs' new touring guitarist. He opened the show his some of his own stuff. Good stuff, kinda somber though. Killed my buzz.

Blood On The Wall came on second. This was the highlight of the night (for me). At first appearance, the seemed like the roadies. Or truckdrivers. Certainly not the band. But they performed way better than I expected. I think I was the only one though. The crowd was bare, cause you can't drink 6 dollar beers in the seats; you got hang out in the lobby.

Brad Shanks (guitars, vox).

Courtney Shanks(sister, bass, vox). For real. They're siblings.
There's a drummer too, but my pictures of him are dismissal.
And now for the main course.

Drum, Brian, drum!

Unfortunately, this is probably the best shot I took. I ran up to stage and snapped this before the bouncer sent me back to my seat. Seat? At a YYYs' show? When in the Orpheum, do as the Orpheum does.

Setlist!

I shot a couple of videos and they turned out alot better than the Metric ones. The sound is decent, almost good. Check 'em out.

I also taped "Pin", but it's too big for youtube. I'll let you know.

Hey Mike.
so this is Katie, I dont think you actually know my name, but we talked today in HMV for a few mins, and im commenting like I said I would.
Im SO jealous that you brought your camera and I forgot mine! I had just gotten a really nice new one for my birthday :( so im so mad I didnt bring it! but at least I can steal your pictures :D
I loved both opening acts as well. Blood on The Wall was very good. I loved her voice, and the way they dressed. and Imaad (I hope that spellings right)was very good. but he did make you feel a little sleepy after. and I could see how it would have killed your buzz. Oh well though.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs were pretty rad core. Karen O has so much energy and just keeps going and going, like the Energizer bunny. I do think they should have played at least 3 more songs though. their set was pretty short for being the main act. it was a very simple show. but I just loved it. and I heart Nick Zinner.
I want to go back and see Bright Eyes! that would be pretty amazing as well. I just really need to turn 19! But maybe I will go, who knows! well im going to let you go now. so you have yourself a goodnight/day. and im sure ill be seeing you around sometime

Katie.
