Supa Deluxxe Model

Leaving for Vancouver in a few hours. Got tickets for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs show at the Orpheum tonight (my deepest apologies Snoog). Just gotta make sure I bring everything I need (music, a book and some clean socks). But first, I must update my iPod.

Did you know that Radio 4 has a new album soon? Me neither. Gotham! (produced by DFA) their first, was a good album, with "Dance to the Underground" being one of the songs that greatly influenced my current taste. When Stealing Of A Nation came out, I had lost interest. Maybe it was the different production team, or because their political stance became much more apparent, but I never got into it. ANWAYS, here's a track off of Enemies Like This, released May 16th on Astralwerks (produced by Jagz Krooner). Word is, remixes for the album will be done by Hot Chip and Tim Goldsworthy (DFA)! Awesome Possum!
(I tried to find a standout track to post, but I just don't have the time. So I was just going to post the single, but then I read this:
Our interest in Bowie/Eno/Talking Heads has been around for a long time but we never really incorporated it into the sound. This is our attempt at that. It's about how corruption is so ingrained in our culture that it is pretty much expected and accepted as "normal." This puts unfair pressure on future generations - “the diamonds” referred to at the end.
Do you hear it?

Radio 4 - Packing Things Up On The Scene

Oh hell, this has nothing to do with anything else here. I ran out of time. But there is Justice for all. (I know you probably saw this posted on every other blog out there, but I don't give a fuck, so fuck you whiners. I'ts great, and I'm sure Snoog hasn't heard this yet...)

Justice - Let There Be Light

One more thing, and then I'm out of here. This is a white label (I'm guessing) mix of Interpols' "Evil" by Josh Patrick. I'm pretty sure it's not legit, but I don't have the time to double check. Good thing there's an edit button! And that no one read this anyways! Moving on, Mr. Patrick did a remix of Franz Ferdinands' "This Fire" a while ago, which I thought was pretty darn good (shut the fuck up Alex). Yhis was flip sided by his re-workings of Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Pin". So it all comes together.

Interpol - Evil (Josh Patrick Evil Dub)

It's a vinyl rip, so you know.

I'll be back in a few days, hopefully with pictures from the YYYs show (did you know that Blood On The Wall is opening? Maybe I'll have a photo or two of them...). And then on Tuesday, Magneta Lane will be playing in town! Two shows in two days? Never! Bye!

P.S.
I read somewhere that 2003 was back. The Strokes put out a new album. So did YYYs. Rapture's working on it. Even Radio 4. And I bet there's more. ALOT more. (oh yeah, I almost forgot about TV on the Radio...)
Tell me more.
